Wow, you guys unlocked NINE out of the ten planned stretch goals already and are well on your way to unlocking number 10!


Which means that I should probably start thinking of a new stretch goal... (Not the worst problem to have as I have two possibilities already in mind😂.)

If you have been here from the start and been reading comments on the updates, you may have seen the suggestion from one of your fellow backers that she wanted a Derpy hiding under a cardboard box... Of course that meant my Muse was inspired and giddy with excitement to draw it. Introducing the brand new "avoidance" derpy dragon. Sometimes you just need to get through the day to make life feel more...survivable. (I certainly wanted to crawl under a box yesterday) This Derpy will be added to the poll for you to vote on, I will finish the design over the next week and share it with you once it is done . 

This is possibly another favourite Derpy of mine, originally part of the Bookish Derpy Dragon Campaign, it is called little Inky. And my Common Sense Derpy which was a part of the very first Derpy Dragons!

What an incredible day we had yesterday as the campaign launched, and you have all completely blown me away with your support. But the fun is only just starting!

To start, you guys unlocked SEVEN out of ten planned stretch goals in less than 10 hours!!!🤯🖤🤯


And based on the recent poll. you guys are torn between feeling overwhelmed and antisocial! But with only 2 minutes left, one more little anti social derpy poked out their head and voted for isolation from humanity.

Vote in today's poll to see what the second derpy will be to join the hoard! And keep those comments coming. It is nice (and possibly validating) to see so many on the same page and relating to these derpies! They were made for me, inspired by my swinging moods of adulting and dealing with life.  

In fact, today's letter was the very derpy who inspired this book! Though originally it would have been "D" is for dumpster fire. But this works too. 

Here are the original sketches for these two. I use my Remarkable 2 to sketch derpies. It is basically a digital notebook that you can write and draw on. And unlike other digital devices it is free of distractions. (Which I love) It also makes transferring derpies to photoshop to colour so much easier. I will share a timelapse when I share N ^_^ In the meantime, here are my fiery derpy sketches! 

Both of these Derpies will be new for this campaign and as such, if you want them as pins or stickers, be sure to add the pin tiers to your pledge or add them as add ons from the "D" is for Derpies sets!

"D" is for Derpy Dragons was born out of backer wishes and a desire to make fun of adulting in the most derpy way possible. (Okay, and possibly because my own life felt like a dumpster fire at the same time backers made wishes for a Derpy book on my Patreon.😂)

The Derpy Dragons were created out of a desire to just doodle and create non-serious art, almost 18 months ago, after I ran my very first successful dragon pin campaign. Ever since, they have become the giggle in my day and the silver lining in adulting life. (Most of my normal art veers on the dark and NSFW side... which, if you like dark art, go check out my Patreon!) But I am getting side-tracked. Back to "D" is for Derpy Dragons.   
The art book is structured as an ABC book because many Derpies were inspired by my favourite quotes and memes. And I needed a theme to go with.  
 
The book itself is rated "G-all ages", but the themes within and the words are meant for adults. So go ahead, buy it for the overwhelmed and anxious adult and/or parent in your life who needs a little dry humor and shenanigans to get them through the day. Feel free to read it to your kids too! They have to learn these words eventually anyway, might as well do so with an added dash of sarcasm and derpyness!

Over the next few days, I will share a letter every day and the original sketches.

Some of the designs are brand new and can be unlocked as pins within the campaign through polls and voting for your favourites. Others, like the anxious little seadragon clutching its book already exist as pins and add-ons! I will be sure to highlight these every day in the updates so you can easily find them!^_^

Of course my slightly-overly-competitive nature kicked in, and I decided that if this campaign can reach 5000 points I will throw in an EXTRA colouring page just for my backers!
